Timbo the elephant herd leader seeks a century-old jungle elder after a crocodile attack shatters his tusk and triggers a life-threatening infection. Elephants' capacity for collective problem-solving and emotional bonds drives them to travel miles to save one of their own.
Hey guys, welcome back to our channel where humans and animals come together. Today we are going to see how elephants save their communities. He's around 30 years old and he has two big tusks that are almost 4 ft long. They had never seen him without both of his tusks before. Tempo was in a lot of pain and he couldn't eat. He became weaker and weaker until one day he couldn't even get out of bed. The herd was worried about Timbo, but they didn't know what to do. He survived a crocodile attack and he healed from a broken tusk. There are all kinds of elephants who do amazing things, like this elephant who saved a baby elephant from drowning, or this elephant who rescued a leopard from a poacher. Elephants are truly amazing animals. They're strong and intelligent, and they have big hearts. They're also very gentle giants. Even though they can be dangerous if they want to, they're mostly peaceful creatures who just want to live in harmony with the other animals. Elephants are also very social animals. They live in herds and they have strong bonds with each other. They communicate with each other using a variety of sounds including trumpets, rumbles, and screams. They also use gestures and touch to communicate. Elephants are also very emotional animals. They can experience a wide range of emotions including joy, grief, anger, and fear. They also have excellent memories, and they can remember people in places for a long time. Elephants are endangered animals. They're being killed by poachers, and their habitats are being destroyed. But there are organizations working to protect them. If we all do our part, we can help ensure that elephants continue to roam the earth for generations to come. He was also very smart. He learned from his mistakes and he was brave enough to ask for help when he needed it. Now Timbo continues to lead his herd and he uses his wisdom and strength to protect them. He's a true hero of the wild. They tried to help him, but nothing seemed to work. Tempo's wound was getting bigger and dirtier each day, and he was starting to get an infection. We hope you enjoyed this story, and we hope it has inspired you to be kind to animals and to respect the natural world around us. Thank you for watching. See you next time. If something didn't change, he would die. The elephants needed to find someone who could help Timbo. They needed to find a hero. Timbo is the leader of his herd. He's strong and brave, and he's always ready to protect his family. But he's also a little bit reckless. They had heard rumors of a wise old elephant who lived deep in the jungle. He was said to be almost 100 years old, and he knew all kinds of healing plants. The herd traveled deep into the jungle to find the old elephant. When they arrived at his home, they were exhausted. The journey had been long and difficult, but they were willing to try anything to save Timbo. The old elephant was surprised to see the herd. He hadn't seen any other elephants in years, but he was happy to help them. He led them to a clearing where there were all kinds of different plants growing. He showed them which ones could help Timbo and how to use them. Then he led them back to Timbo's bedside and they started to treat his wound. He doesn't always think about the consequences of his actions before taking them. His fever went away and he began to eat again. The elephants don't have bones inside their tusks, so they can't set a broken tusk. Instead, they rely on their tusks to grow back. The broken piece of Tebo's tusk grew back and fused with the rest of his tusk. It was stronger than before, and it made Timbo even more handsome. Timbo was so happy to have his full tusk back. He knew he wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of the old elephant. Timbo and the herd lived happily ever after. They continued to visit the old elephant whenever they needed help, and they never forgot what he had taught them. The old elephants stayed with the herd for several weeks while Tempo recovered. He taught them all kinds of things about healing and how to take care of each other. After a while, Tempo was strong enough to get up and walk around. He was still weak and his tusk was still broken, but he was getting better every day. The herd was so grateful to the old elephant. They had saved Tebow's life, and they had learned how to help each other when they were sick or injured. One day, Tempo and his herd were walking through the jungle. They were headed to a watering hole, but they had to cross a river to get there. The river was wide and deep, but Tebo wasn't worried. He was a strong swimmer, and he knew he could get his herd across safely. As they entered the water, Tebo led the way. He swam with powerful strokes, his tusks gleaming in the sunlight. His herd followed close behind him, their trunks raised high to help them breathe. But then, disaster struck. A crocodile grabbed onto Tebo's leg and pulled him under the surface. Timbo struggled to free himself, but the crocodile's grip was too strong. In a panic, Timbo swung his tusks wildly. He didn't mean to, but he did, and one of his tusks hit a rock. The rock cracked and broke, and one half of Timbo's right tusk snapped off. Tempo was able to free himself from the crocodile and swim to shore, but he was badly injured and bleeding. And now he had a very painful and very big problem. His tusk was broken. Elephants are one of the biggest land mammals in the world. The African bush elephant is the largest living land mammal with some weighing up to 6,000 kg or 13,000 lb. They are also the longest living mammals in captivity with a lifespan of up to 80 years. An elephant's tusks are modified insizer teeth that grow throughout their lives. They use them for many things such as digging for water and minerals, stripping bark off trees, fighting other elephants, and defending themselves against predators. But they can also be used as weapons. Male elephants will often use their tusks to spear other males during fights over dominance or mating rights. And female elephants will use their tusks to defend their young from predators like lions and hyenas. Tusks are made of dentin and enamel just like your teeth. And they can grow up to 10 in a year. That's about the same rate as your fingernails. You know, if you have a big set of tusks, you're more likely to survive attacks by predators and win fights with other elephants. So, having big tusks is an advantage. It helps you protect yourself and your family, but it also means that you need to be careful when you use them. If you're not careful, you could hurt yourself or someone else. And that's what happened to Timbo. Timbo is an adult male elephant. When Tempo returned to the herd, the other elephants were shocked. After a few days of searching, the herd finally found what they were looking for. The treatment was painful at first, but after a few days, Tebo started to feel better. As time passed, Tempo's tusk began to heal. Timbo was a lucky elephant. But Timbo isn't the only elephant who's a hero of the wild. What do you think? Do you know of any other elephant heroes?
