Nah, I think we just don't care enough sometimes. It's easier to scroll past good news when there's so much drama out there...
How about some good news today? Good news movement gives everyone just that nearly six million followers on Instagram and beyond. It's founder, a journalist and friend of this show, Michelle Figueroa joins us now. Always makes me smile when we want to see this on the list for the next day. Michelle, so many of the stories that you share. I like the joys of the little everyday moments. And you recently spotlighted this one that we want to show people. Men named Daniel and his daughter, take a listen. There's a rainbow outside. I'm picking up the live view from thinking. I got a shower. Come on, come on, come on. Here we come. Go on the door to see it. Like over there in the clouds. Thank you. You see it? Okay, amazing. Tell us about this family and its message. So it's just a sweet moment where the dad's typing up his daughter and just the sense of the wonderment bill is just a reminder for all of us to step outside and look around. That the amazing things that are in life. So just a beautiful. I think one of the most joyful videos I've featured this year. This day, a rainbow always makes me stop in my tracks. It's just the coolest thing. Let's turn it out in this community's clever idea. When a local bookstore was moving just across the street. What do they do here? Amazing how this community and Chelsea managed to get over 300 full. It's been over 9,000 books under two hours, but it's really not about the books. It's about the community showing up to help. And I mean, this is everything. This is good news movement in action. People taking their time to help out. So love to see it. And I hope this kind of inspires a trend of other kind of book chains happening in cross country. Right. And mom and pop bookstore's matter. Also, finally, it's always inspiring to see people finish any marathon. Specifically the Boston Marathon. It's so difficult. This year video you shared was taken into the finish line. Has gone viral because of one runner's active kind. It's tells about it. Yes, it's an amazing video. He's another winner of the marathon. Right as he was about to finish. And he had a time of 240. He suffocates this time to help out a guy who collapsed. And I mean, it's just beautiful. And like many people say, you might not remember your time this year. But everyone now is going to know this type. It's a bit of a Pedro's name. So it's just phenomenal. And it's really the spirit of the Boston Marathon, which I live on. I'm actually here on the last part of the marathon. That's where I live. So yeah, I'm familiar as well. A covered it a million times. And it is spectacular. I love to see that. Especially someone who's under three hours would stop to do that. It's awesome. Yes, definitely fill.
Good News Movement really highlights how positive stories can slip through the cracks, right? Like, it's wild how we often overlook the good amidst all the chaos...🌟
